AEC has a long history of training an employing people from local communities. Our focus on indigenous training has been an integral part of our 'dna' throughout our 15 year history. We have trained and employed 11 indigenous apprentices from communities across the Top End and will continue that tradition in future.
ON THE JOB TRAINING
Our 'on the job' training is combined with CDEP training programs in carpentry, painting and plumbing. That gives our apprentices a more rapidly accellerated and thorough training program that is not generally available in remote communities. It also offers real world experiences and an income while they learn.
Projects in existing and new regions give us more opportunities to continue our commitment to training; leaving behind the long term legacy of our company, and better outcomes for remote communities.
